Dr. Sara Ritchie is a UK-trained primary care doctor and dermatology practitioner with over 30 years of clinical experience in the UK and international health settings.

Dr. Ritchie completed her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 1993 and subsequently obtained postgraduate qualifications including a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (1996), a Diploma in Family Planning & Reproductive Healthcare (2001), Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (2003), and a Master’s in Public Health for Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (2005). She later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology, awarded with Merit in 2008.

Her clinical practice spans general medicine, dermatology, women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and previously also global public health. Her practice is focussed on evidence-based primary care and dermatological assessment, she was the editor of the UK Primary Care Dermatology Society bulletin previously for 3 years and she continues her interest in dermatology education for UK primary care doctors with ongoing national teaching events.
